Nic is a Product and Technology Partner at Hypothesis, where he focuses on guiding portfolio companies through product development and technical strategy. Additionally, Nic is an Advisory Board Member at the Farley Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Northwestern University, where he guides curriculum and mentors students in the subjects of business and technology.
He previously was the Head of Mobile Engineering for Avant, where he led the development of the direct-to-consumer lending product for Mobile Apps in the US and UK. Prior to his tenure at Avant, Nic led development and delivery of Groupon’s mobile Coupons product with over 80M customers.
Nic is also a serial entrepreneur, having started several companies. He raised venture capital from Lightbank, in addition to bootstrapping numerous profitable companies. Most notably, his startup Distilled, a white-label mobile app platform for Shopify, was acquired.
Nic studied Computer Science and Entrepreneurship at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He has lived in Chicago, Florida, Puerto Rico, and rural Illinois and is based in Nashville.
